Zuojiang Huashan Rock Art Cultural Landscape in Guangxi was inscribed as a World Cultural Heritage site in 2016.
Located in Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the property comprises three representative cultural landscape areas with a dense distribution of rock art. It includes 38 rock art sites spread over an area of 611ha, encompassing the mountains where the rock art is found, the opposite tablelands, and approximately 105 kilometers sections of the Zuojiang River and Mingjiang River. These rock art sites vividly depict the spiritual and social lives of the ancient Luoyue people who inhabited the region from the 5th century BCE to the 2nd century CE.
The property is one of the most significant examples of rock art in the world. It features images of bronze drums and related elements, directly linking to the local bronze drum culture, and attests to the widespread cultural characteristics of the region during that period.
